A FAIRFAX COUNTY MILK BOTTLE

​Fairfax County was the dairy capital of Virginia until the mid-20th century, with dairy farming as the county's largest industry in the 1930s and 1940s.

 The bottle is 9.5 inches tall. Around the base it has: FAIRFAX FARMS DAIRY, INC and below that: WASHINGTON DC. On the other side of the base it has: REGISTERED and below that: UGP 51 ONE QUART LIQUID. All the writing is in capital letters. Around the neck are 6 clovers. On one face, not pressed in like the other markings, it has in an arch the word CLOVER surrounded with a design of flowering clover. Estimate the glass to be 3/8 inch thick, reasonable since they would have been repeatedly reused for each delivery.
